Texting with this firm: the terms, in plain English.
Grant Caswell Fisher Law, PLLC sends and receives text messages through its business number, (210) 742-1266. These are the terms of that program.
What the firm texts about
Conversational and informational messages only: replies to your inquiry, scheduling and appointment reminders, requests for documents or information, and case updates for clients. The firm does not send promotional or marketing text blasts, and consenting to texts does not sign you up for any.
How consent works
You opt in to receiving texts from the firm in one of three ways: by checking the text-consent box when you submit a form on this website, by texting the firm first, or by agreeing in a signed writing such as an engagement letter. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of hiring the firm or of having your inquiry reviewed. Providing a phone number without checking the consent box means the firm will call rather than text.
Frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with the activity in your inquiry or case; there is no fixed schedule and no recurring campaign. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts from the firm; you may receive a single message confirming the opt-out, and nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or contact the firm directly at gfisher@gcf.law or (210) 742-1266. Opting out of texts does not end an inquiry or a representation; it only moves the conversation to email and phone.
Privacy of your number and consent
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, or sold to, any third party. The firm's full practices are in the Privacy Policy.
A caution about what to put in a text
Standard text messages are not encrypted. Until the firm represents you under a signed agreement, keep texts to scheduling and short factual updates, and save detailed medical or financial information for a meeting or a secure channel. Texting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship, and a text is not the right way to communicate a deadline emergency; for anything urgent, call.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is outside the firm's control.
